Baseball Recap: Appling County Comes Up Short

Appling County lost against Crisp County last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 9-7. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Appling County's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Crisp County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-17 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appling County will take on Montgomery County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crisp County, they will challenge Taylor County at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
