Basketball Recap: Costa Mesa Mustangs vs. Laguna Hills Hawks
Costa Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laguna Hills Hawks. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Despite the loss, Costa Mesa still got an impressive performance from Leilani Quero, who posted 20 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.
