Volleyball Game Preview: Winnebago Indians vs. Rockford Christian Royal Lions

The Winnebago Indians will face off against the Rockford Christian Royal Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Winnebago came up short against Rock Falls and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-16.

Rockford Christian won the last time they faced Byron and Julia Irvin did her part to make sure it happened again. The Royal Lions walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers on Thursday for which the team can thank Irvin, who had five digs and two blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Rockford Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Byron to exactly 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16.

Winnebago has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16-1 record this season. As for Rockford Christian, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.
