Football Game Preview: Hoisington Cardinals vs. Halstead Dragons

The Hoisington Cardinals will square off against the Halstead Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hoisington will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Hoisington got the win against Cimarron by a conclusive 42-22. The Cardinals pushed the score to 36-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bluejays cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Halstead). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-13 win over Lyons. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Halstead picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Hoisington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Hoisington took their win against Halstead in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 38-14 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Dragons' Owen Farmer, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Cardinals to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
