Basketball Recap: Neumann-Goretti Takes Down Northwestern Lehigh in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Neumann-Goretti rose to the challenge on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers 76-27. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Neumann-Goretti's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reginna Baker, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amya Scott, who scored 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Northwestern Lehigh lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brook Balliet, who earned 11 points.

Neumann-Goretti is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. Northwestern Lehigh's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5.

Coming up, Neumann-Goretti will take on Wyomissing at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwestern Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
