Baseball Recap: Mays Comes Up Short

Mays was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 25-1 to the Pace Academy Knights. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 17-1 to the Knights when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mays saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LaMarquis Sandifer, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Andre Brown also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Mays' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Pace Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

While Mays had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
