Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Wayne County Yellow Jackets.

Mariah Walker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Wayne County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Chapel Hill will take on Johnson in a tournament on Saturday. As for Wayne County, they will head out on the road to take on East Coweta at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
