Basketball Game Preview: Ramona Bulldogs vs. Castle Park Trojans + Official Tickets

The Ramona Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Castle Park Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ramona is looking for their season's first victory.

Last Friday, Ramona was beaten by Logan Memorial Education Campus 56-29. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 869th, while the Eagles are ranked 279th).

Ramona's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Krystian Pierre, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds, and Makenzy Ahlgren, who posted 14 points and seven boards. Pierre is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Castle Park beat Guajome Park Academy 37-29 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Frogs: they've now won four in a row.

Ramona's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Castle Park, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Ramona strolled past Castle Park in their previous matchup back in December of 2017 by a score of 32-18. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
