Softball Recap: Mceachern Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wheeler

McEachern had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 8-13 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Wheeler Wildcats as they made off with a 20-10 victory. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Wheeler, they dropped their record down to 3-23 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Even if they couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

For Wheeler's part, Rhea Karmacharya and Lexi McCarty stepped up to the plate in a big way. Karmacharya went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while McCarty went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Karmacharya also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Angel Velazquez was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, McEachern will challenge Marietta at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wheeler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
