Recap: Ceres Bulldogs vs. Johansen Vikings
The Ceres Bulldogs posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Johansen and snuck past 32-29. The victory was familiar territory for Ceres who now have three in a row.
Marissa Renteria was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolissa Guillory, who scored seven points.
Ceres' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. As for Johansen, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Ceres will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Los Banos at 7:15 p.m. on January 15th. Los Banos is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Johansen, they will be playing at home against Lathrop at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Lathrop will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
