Preview: Trinity Wolves vs. Durham Trojans
The Trinity Wolves will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Durham Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Durham took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Trinity, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Trinity got the win against Etna by a conclusive 45-23. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity.
Trinity had a senior duo take command as Hazel DeLange scored ten points along with three steals and Chloe Albiez scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Kloe Kist was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Durham's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-34 to Colusa. While losing is never fun, Durham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 658th, while Colusa is ranked 294th).
Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Durham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season.
Trinity beat Durham 42-32 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Trinity repeat their success, or does Durham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
