Football Recap: Santa Rita Comes Up Short

Santa Rita lost against Bisbee back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 54-6 loss at the hands of the Pumas.

Bisbee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hunter Wright out in front who rushed for 138 yards and four TDs on only nine carries, and also caught one touchdown. Tryston Meyer was another key passer, throwing for 171 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

Santa Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bisbee, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Rita will face off against Tanque Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bisbee, they will square off against Chandler Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
