Soccer Game Preview: Eastern vs. McClain

The Eastern Warriors will take on the McClain Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eastern is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Eastern's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Zane Trace with a sharp 5-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Eastern's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Zane Trace are ranked 522nd).

Eastern hit Zane Trace with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jayse Riggs (2), Sam Ramer, Kayne Dotson, and Hunter Gould.

Meanwhile, McClain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Hillsboro.

The win made it two in a row for Eastern and bumps their season record up to 12-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matchups. As for McClain, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
