Demi Boykin leads a balanced attack to beat Bear River

Recap: Marysville Indians vs. Bear River Bruins

The Marysville Indians had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.8 points), and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They strolled past Bear River with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Marysville also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Marysville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demi Boykin, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and four blocks. Boykin has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Abigail Pietz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Despite the loss, Bear River still got an impressive performance from Krissy Kelly, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Kelly hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Marianna Moya-Krill, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Marysville is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Bear River, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.

Marysville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bear River also has no future games currently scheduled.
