Basketball Recap: Vista del Lago Comes Up Short

If Vista del Lago was feeling good fresh off their 51-26 takedown of Rio Americano last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vista del Lago Eagles took a blow against the Christian Brothers Falcons on Wednesday, falling 59-25. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Vista del Lago had strong showings from Callie Jacobosky, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks, and Leila Tureck, who had seven points. That's the most blocks Jacobosky has posted since back in February of 2024.

Vista del Lago has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Christian Brothers, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Vista del Lago wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-45 loss against Inderkum on the 10th. As for Christian Brothers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-45 win against Woodcreek on the 10th.
