Baseball Recap: Rome Takes a Loss

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Rome was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 10-1 to the South Paulding Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 8-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Rome saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevin Boswell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Caysen Strack also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Rome's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for South Paulding, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

While Rome had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
