Recap: Wilson Wildcats vs. Sunny Hills Lancers
On Wednesday, Wilson had to suffer through a rough 55-19 loss at the hands of Sunny Hills. While losing is never fun, Wilson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 774th, while Sunny Hills is ranked 341st).
Sunny Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Erin Choi, who scored 14 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Choi has scored at least 25% of Sunny Hills' points. Another player making a difference was Natalie Do, who scored 17 points.
Wilson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Sunny Hills, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson will take on Walnut at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sunny Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hesperia at 3:00 p.m.
