Volleyball Recap: Bethlehem Christian Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Bethlehem Christian Academy and St. Andrew squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Bethlehem Christian Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.

Evie Powell paced Bethlehem Christian Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Powell got some help from Kinsey Banister and her three assists. Michelle Brumley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Andrew's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lyleigh Bradshaw led the charge by getting 16 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Dare, who had 29 assists and four digs.

Bethlehem Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for St. Andrew's, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season.

Bethlehem Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Andrew's, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against The King's Academy on the 4th.
