Preview: Ligonier Valley Rams vs. Greater Johnstown Trojans
The Ligonier Valley Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Greater Johnstown Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Ligonier Valley really took it to Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-14 victory at home. With Ligonier Valley ahead 40-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ligonier Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lyla Barr, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marlee Miller, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Greater Johnstown didn't have too much trouble with Clearfield on the road on Friday as they won 60-43.
The losses dropped Ligonier Valley to 2-2 and Valley to 0-4.
Ligonier Valley took a serious blow against Greater Johnstown in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 59-31. Can Ligonier Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
