Baseball Recap: Kearney Comes Up Short

Kearney fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Winnetonka on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 9-8. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Griffins earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Kearney's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Winnetonka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kearney will welcome Northeast at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winnetonka, they will challenge Smithville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
