Football Preview: San Pasqual Golden Eagles vs. Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns        
        
		
             San Pasqual is 9-1 against Rancho Buena Vista since September of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The San Pasqual Golden Eagles will venture away from home to  square off against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns  at 7:00  p.m. San Pasqual is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses.
 Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, San Pasqual beat Westview 19-15.
 San Pasqual's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Robert Renteria led the charge by throwing for 217 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 44 yards and a touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (98 yards to be exact)  went to  Marcos Rocha.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to San Pasqual's defense and their four sacks.  Mason Turnbaugh was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. San Pasqual got some further help from  Eric Diaz: he picked up  a  sack and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
 Meanwhile, Rancho Buena Vista fell victim to Oceanside and their airtight defense  on Friday. They were dealt  a  49-0 loss at the hands of the Pirates. The Longhorns have struggled against the Pirates recently, as their game  on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 San Pasqual's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
 Everything came up roses for San Pasqual against Rancho Buena Vista in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023, as the  team secured  a  41-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Pasqual since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
