Basketball Recap: Newport Harbor Comes Up Short

Newport Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-17 loss at the hands of the Los Alamitos Griffins. The Sailors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-6.

Newport Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Los Alamitos, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport Harbor will welcome Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newport Harbor is facing Edison at the right time seeing as Edison is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Los Alamitos, they will challenge Corona del Mar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
