Soccer Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

After flying high against Crawford last Friday, Hoover came back down to earth. The Hoover Cardinals fell just short of the High Tech SD Storm by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Storm: they've now lost six in a row.

Hoover now has a losing record at 11-12-2. As for High Tech SD, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will host Logan Memorial Education Campus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for High Tech SD, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Kearny at 6:00 p.m. High Tech SD's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
