Pymatuning Valley came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Mathews, but MACI DARLINGTON wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lakers on Thursday for which the team can thank DARLINGTON, who had 30 digs and seven aces. She also put up a kill, which was her first of the season.

With the victory, Mathews broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Pymatuning Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mathews will challenge rival Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pymatuning Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Grand Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
