Football Game Preview: Yates Center Wildcats vs. Madison/Hamilton Bulldogs

The Yates Center Wildcats will take on the Madison/Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Yates Center was handed a 46-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out St. Paul 30-28.

Yates Center's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Cummings, who rushed for 184 yards and two scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Gavin Busteed, who rushed for 85 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Yates Center was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Madison/Hamilton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Burlingame with points to spare, taking the game 42-26.

Madison/Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Yates Center, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
