The Windham Whippets will challenge the Suffield Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Windham has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 12 straight defeats, while Suffield will come in with four straight wins.
Ellis RVT hit Windham with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Whippets fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5.
Francisco Alvarado was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Alex Diaz-Guillen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brandon Holman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Suffield put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for East Windsor. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-0.
James Nikolis was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Blair, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Suffield's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Windham, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
