Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Rams vs. Palmyra Panthers

The Riverside Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Palmyra Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Riverside is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Riverside fell victim to Burlington Township and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly four runs.

Meanwhile, Palmyra came up short against Gateway Regional on Thursday, falling 14-3.

Justin Dellisanti was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Palmyra is 4-2 when Dellisanti posts two or more runs, but 0-14 otherwise. Nate Bachich was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Palmyra, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Riverside was able to grind out a solid win over Palmyra in their previous meeting back in April, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
