Baseball Recap: Montabella Gets the Win

Montabella was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Morley Stanwood Mowhawks. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 win the Mowhawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Montabella saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zaiden Myers, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Myers has posted since back in April. Noah Barber was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Montabella's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Morley Stanwood, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Montabella will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mowhawks: the pair will be back at it again later today.
