Basketball Recap: Sanger Gets the Win

Porterville came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Sanger, but Sofia Aguilar wouldn't allow it. The Sanger Apaches walked away with a 47-34 win over the Porterville Panthers on Monday thanks in part to Aguilar, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.

Sanger's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Porterville, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Sanger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-42 defeat against Sierra on the 3rd. As for Porterville, they will square off against Redwood at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th.
