Softball Recap: Elkhart Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Elkhart came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cushing Bearkats by a score of 6-1.

The team relied heavily on Gracie Wade, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Knight, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Elkhart was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Elkhart's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Cushing, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Elkhart's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chapel Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.56 runs per game on average), something the Elks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cushing, they will head out to square off against Center at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
