Soccer Game Preview: Patterson vs. Mountain House

Patterson is 3-0 against Mountain House since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Patterson Tigers will host the Mountain House Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. Patterson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Patterson managed to keep up with Manteca until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Patterson came up short against Manteca, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Mountain House has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They and Central Catholic finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday. That draw made it three straight for the Mustangs.

Their goal came courtesy of Jayden Reynolds, who's now up to four this season.

With that draw, Mountain House's record moves to 0-7-4. As for Patterson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2.

Everything went Patterson's way against Mountain House when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Patterson made off with a 3-0 win. Will Patterson repeat their success, or does Mountain House have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
