Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Severance

With a playoff win on the line, Severance rose to the challenge on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks a 2-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Silver Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Not much got past Katie Thomas, who gave up just a hit and racked up 17 Ks to keep Cheyenne Mountain off the board. Thomas has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

Severance's victory bumped their record up to 20-4-2. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.

Severance has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Windsor on the 24th. Cheyenne Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
