Football Recap: Cloudcroft Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cloudcroft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 68-14 loss at the hands of the Questa Wildcats. The Bears lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 44-16 score last time.

Cloudcroft's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Questa, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3.

Coming up, Cloudcroft will take on Fort Sumner/House at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Sumner/House's defense has only allowed 2.8 points per game this season, so Cloudcroft's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Questa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Menaul at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
