Basketball Recap: Mountain House Takes a Loss

Mountain House and Vanden squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mountain House had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Vanden Vikings and fell 83-39. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 78-29 to them when the teams met back in February of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Mountain House still got an impressive performance from Niaja Harris, who posted 21 points and six boards. That's the most rebounds Harris has posted since back in December of 2024.

Calonni Holloway continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Vanden, putting up 25 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Rochell, who had nine points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Mountain House's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Vanden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Mountain House does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vanden, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-39 loss against St. Mary's on the 20th.
