Soccer Recap: Cartersville Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Cartersville was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodland Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for Cartersville in their meetings with Woodland: they've now lost three in a row.

Cartersville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Woodland, they moved to 3-10 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Cartersville will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Model at 7:30 p.m. Model will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cartersville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodland, they will head out to challenge Gordon Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
