Monticello fell victim to Crestwood and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cadets. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Crestwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Monticello has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against South Winneshiek on the 14th. Crestwood has also already played their next contest (against New Hampton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
