Preview: Archbishop Carroll Patriots vs. Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls
After four games on the road, Archbishop Carroll is heading back home. They will take on the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Archbishop Carroll is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Archbishop Ryan in Pennsylvania (Archbishop Carroll is ranked 37th, while Archbishop Ryan is ranked 419th).
Archbishop Carroll suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Sunday. They were the victim of a rough 58-38 defeat at the hands of Perkiomen Valley.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Ryan had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Little Flower Catholic for Girls at home to the tune of 48-16. That looming 48-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Archbishop Ryan yet this season.
Archbishop Carroll has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Archbishop Ryan, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Everything came up roses for Archbishop Carroll against Archbishop Ryan when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 60-29 victory. Will Archbishop Carroll repeat their success, or does Archbishop Ryan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
