Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils vs. Norwin Knights

The Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Norwin Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Lebanon will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Monday, Mt. Lebanon was able to grind out a solid victory over Canon-McMillan, taking the game 33-25.

Meanwhile, Norwin beat Upper St. Clair 56-47 on Monday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Panthers are ranked 14th).

Mt. Lebanon's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Norwin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Mt. Lebanon came up short against Norwin when the teams last played on January 8th, falling 45-33. Can Mt. Lebanon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
