Basketball Recap: Minatare Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cody-Kilgore, Minatare was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the Creek Valley Storm with a 39-34 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Creek Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Grace Beyer, who posted eight points and 22 boards, and Catherine Tilghman, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, Beyer is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game.

The win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-12. As for Creek Valley, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Minatare does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Creek Valley, they will welcome South Platte at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
