Basketball Recap: Berkeley Takes a Loss

Berkeley lost against Jesse M. Bethel back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellowjackets took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 674th, while the Jaguars are ranked 259th).

This is the second loss in a row for Berkeley and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Jesse M. Bethel, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Berkeley and Skyline will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jesse M. Bethel, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Campolindo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
