Softball Recap: Richmond Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Richmond's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Carrollton Trojans on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Carrollton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Richmond will head out to take on Holden at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Carrollton, they will be playing at home against Slater at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
