Baseball Recap: Valwood Comes Up Short

Valwood's last matchup with Tattnall Square Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Valiants came up short against the Trojans, falling 7-0. The Valiants were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Valwood has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Tattnall Square Academy, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Coming up, Valwood will face off against Southland Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Valiants will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they will challenge Wilmington Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
