Basketball Recap: Canaan Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 62 points the game before, Canaan Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by the Great Commission Bears 48-13. Canaan Christian Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Great Commission earlier this season, when they won 62-45.

Great Commission's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Fleck, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Those 11 points gave Fleck a new career-high. Alexa Hall was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Canaan Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Great Commission, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Canaan Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Blair County Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Great Commission does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
