Santana is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Grossmont on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Sultans took a blow against the Foothillers, falling 46-6. The contest marked the Sultans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monte Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 27-0 win over El Cajon Valley. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won three contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

Monte Vista now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Santana, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
