Football Recap: Belle Plaine Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Belle Plaine's offense. They were outmatched by the Trinity Academy Knights and fell 35-0. The Dragons have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Zac Zimmerman produced another solid effort rushing for 56 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 155 yards and a pair of TDs for Trinity Academy. Cale Kaufman was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one score.

Belle Plaine's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Trinity Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belle Plaine will venture away from home to challenge Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Dragons' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity Academy, they will head out to face off against Hesston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Swathers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
