Football Recap: Ardrey Kell Starts off Right with Win over Cuthbertson + How To Watch

Ardrey Kell had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Cuthbertson Cavaliers 27-13. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won four in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Jared Curtis, who rushed for 76 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passing yards (75).

Ardrey Kell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ricky Garmon and Khalil Leak. Garmon got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Cuthbertson still got an impressive performance from Mason Iovino, who rushed for 198 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 74 receiving yards. Iovino was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.

Looking ahead, Ardrey Kell will face off against Porter Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cuthbertson, they will square off against Parkwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
