Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on Cedar Falls with a sharp 24-12 win on Thursday. Considering Valley has won 19 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Valley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 36-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Cedar Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-11-1.
