Basketball Recap: Ramona Rams vs. Patriot Warriors
In what's become a running theme this season, the Ramona Rams gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by Patriot on the road to the tune of 62-32. Winning may never get old, but Ramona sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Ramona's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaiden Tibbels, who scored 13 points along with five steals and three blocks. Tibbels has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Athena Berber, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Patriot lost, one person who can't be blamed is Giselle Tiscare?o. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 40.6% of Patriot's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ramona pushed their record up to 18-10 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Patriot, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-17.
Ramona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Patriot also has no future games currently scheduled.
