Baseball Recap: Adair County Triumphs

Adair County's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Casey County Rebels. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won four in a row.

Adair County got a great performance from Tristen Stotts as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Stotts is becoming a predictor of the Indians' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 15-20 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Bryce Russell was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Alex Martin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Adair County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April.

Adair County's win bumped their record up to 18-21. As for Casey County, they are on a 21-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-30.

As of now, neither Adair County nor the Rebels have any future games scheduled.
