Volleyball Recap: Caldwell Academy's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

After flying high against The O'Neal School on Monday, Caldwell Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Grace Christian Crusaders on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 16-25, 25-15.

Anna Lapeirre paced Caldwell Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Lapeirre were helped by Kate Belanger and Lilli Telleysh, who contributed 13 assists each. Finally, Summer Hitchcock kept Caldwell Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Caldwell Academy's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. As for Grace Christian, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Caldwell Academy and Grace Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Eagles will challenge Greensboro Day School at 5:45 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (102 vs. 288). Meanwhile, Grace Christian (ranked 67th) will meet St. Mary's (ranked 305th) at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
